This shirt from China is unintentionally passive aggressive

这件来自中国的T恤无意间表现得很咄咄逼人

(图解:衣服上的文字是:“哇奥,你在外面看起来漂亮极了”)

That's like the translation you submit after using google translate in your language class in high school even though your teacher told you not to use it.

看起来就像是你在高中的语言学校里用谷歌翻译得出来的译文,即使你老师叫你不要这么做。

I know a foreign language teacher who specifically chooses phrases that google translate to something funny.

我认识一位外语老师,他专门从谷歌翻译里找了一些特别有意思的短语。

Smelly boy

有臭味的男孩(意译:臭小子)。

DO NOT WANT!

别想了!

He is in my behind!

他在我后面!

You two careful, he is a big.
Edited for correct chinglish

你俩小心了,他很大的。
编辑下,这才是正确的中式英文。

Mr. Speaker, we are for the big.

发言人先生,我们为了大。

Everybody is good.

大家都很好。

Friend you are crazy!

伙计你疯了!

"You underrated my abilities!"
"IS"

你低估了我的本事!(underrate是形容词,abilities是名词复数,都是基本的语法错误。都是一些模仿中式英语的,下同)
知道

I can of, teacher.

我能的,老师

Honestly, I think this was done on purpose.

老实说,我觉得这是故意的。

It was obviously intentional. And the grammar is fine considering this.
Not sure why it's on mildly interesting, and definitely don't know why it's on /r/all!
I imagine it's all the Reddit nice guys and girls who want to stick it to those who are physically attractive.

很明显故意的。语法很好考虑到这一点。
不知道为什么会在mildinteresting(注:reddit一个子分类,类似贴吧)

I like this.

我喜欢这件T恤。

Potato handbag nutsack.

土豆  手袋   坚果袋

My hovercraft is full of them. They're food for the eels.

我穿上全都是这些。他们是鳗鱼的食物。

What a wild and crazy guy huh

多么狂野的家伙,哈?

My teachers always said they could tell if you used google translate.
The trick is to not put like a whole paragraph or sentence, but parts and then build it.
I used the fuck outta google translate

我老师总是说如果你用了谷歌翻译,他们就会告发。
诀窍就是把整个段落或句子,分成一掉段一小段。
我TMD用过谷歌这玩意儿。

at some point you're just using it as a dictionary

在某种程度上,你只需要用词典就可以了。

wordreference.com for all y'all still in foreign language classes. Bailed my ass out all the time and actually helped me learn the nuance and connotations of words.

wordreference.com为依旧还在语言班中的你打造。节省了我大量的时间,并且事实上帮助我学习了单词的细微差别和内在含义。

I got home from China earlier this week. The hotel I was in had a sign in the bathroom that said "Slip Carefully". That was my favorite.

这周一早我从中国回来了。我住的那家旅店有个浴室标记是这样写得“小心地滑倒”(注:小心滑倒)。这是我的最爱。

When I was in Mexico, there was a sign on the beach with a picture of an urchin on it, warning people to watch out for hedgehogs.

当我在墨西哥的时候,他们的海滩上有一副刺猬图片,标语上写着:警告人们,小心刺猬。

This was my ten semesters of German in high school.

这是我高中学德语10学期时发生的事

high school only has eight semesters...? right?

高中不是只有8个学期么?

German 7 was really tough for them

德语的7,对他们来说真的太难了。

Everyone is ten for two years. Because fifth grade is really hard for... MOM HOW MANY LIES HAVE I BEEN LIVING?!

因为五年级真的很难……妈咪,我生活中到底还有多少谎言?!

As someone who speaks both English and Chinese, I can confirm that this is almost exactly what you'd get from google translate.

身为一个说英国也说汉语的人,我可以确定,这基本上就是谷歌翻译过来的。

I like it.

我喜欢。

Because inside you're ugly, ugly like me.

因为在室内你很丑,就像我。

I can see through you.

知道了。

See to the real you.

见到你的本质。

How is this unintentionally made?
I'd wear this shit

这玩意儿是怎么无意中制造出来的?
我TM穿过这玩意儿。

On the back it says, "Too bad you're a cunt."

而在衣服的背面它会说“太糟了你这个荡妇”

...but you're butt-ugly on the inside!
This shirt has a perfect level of passive-agressiveness for Minnesota. Where can I get one?

但是,你在室内TM的太丑了!
在明尼苏达州,这就是完美的嘲讽。哪儿能买到?

It was on special as a 2 for 1 special for 80 Chinese yuan. I was considering buying one but I couldn't find another shirt I wanted. The whole shop had a 'western' atmosphere and it was full of clothes with random English words but most of the phrases were either really cheesy ("Heart is love!") or made no sense whatsoever (something long the lines of "Winner is the best cool")

这是只有1到2件的特价商品,80元人民币。我想要买一件,但找不到我想要的T恤了。整个商店都弥漫着“西式”氛围,所有衣服都是随机单词,绝大多数短语,要么真的很不错“Heart is love!”,或者干脆就是毫无意义的不知所云“Winner is the best cool”

I would wear the shit out of a "Winner is the best cool" t-shirt.
我TMD会穿着“I would wear the shit out of a "Winner is the best cool" t-shirt.”出门的。
I mean, it's true right?

我意思是……这句话其实是正确的,不是吗?

If you ain't first you're last

如果你不是第一名,你就是最后一名。(注:各类T恤短语,下同)

Or second

或者第二

"Second is only first loser."
I have no idea where I remember that from. It might also be a paraphrase.

第二名,不过是第一个失败者
我不知道在哪里见过这个。可能也是释义之类的。

might be able to find it on taobao if you care

如果在乎,可以用taobao找到。

I went into one of those shops when I was in Shenzhen. The english was so random. As i glanced from shirt to shirt i thought, who would wear a shirt that says "keep the garden special" in girly script. And then my mind flashed to all of the shirts sold in US stores with chinese symbols (or any other sufficiently foreign language) which probably had the exact same nonsense on them.
And at once i felt both dismayed at the lack of cultural sensitivity, and heartened by the kinship of both of our peoples making the same stupid mistake. Experiences like that are exactly why I love to travel.

我曾经在深圳去过其中一个店里。英语太随意了。当我一件T恤一件T恤的扫视过去,我在想,到底谁会去穿“保持花园的特殊”这样女式的T恤。然后这时我脑海里闪过美国商店里售卖的中式T恤(或其他足够洋气的语言),那大概一样非常的荒谬可笑。
一想到(这里对)文化敏感性的匮乏我就灰心,想到我们自己也反同样愚蠢的错误我又会振作起来。正是这样的经历让我热爱旅行。

That's why I have a tattoo that literally translates to "generic Japanese phrase"

这就是为什么我会在身上纹一段文字,字面翻译过来就是“通用日语短语”(注:大概类似于中国人在自己身上纹“大学英语常用语”之类的。)

You are my new hero

你就是我新的英雄。

Best part is its in Mandarin, not Japanese

最棒的都在普通话里,不在日文里

I could kiss you.

我会亲你一口。

"keep the garden special" in girly script
If I saw that on a girl I'd just assume she trims her pubes into animal topiary shapes or something.

“让花园保持有型”
如果我看见女孩儿穿这个的话,我会猜想她把她的阴毛修剪成了动物样式的形状,或别的什么。

Oh you should see some ppl's Chinese/Japanese tattoos... lol

噢,你应该看看一些中国人、日本人的纹身……哈哈哈哈哈哈
