President Barack Obama was fast to offer America’s supportto the French authorities after what he described as an “outrageous attempt toterrorize innocent civilians”.

美国总统巴拉克•奥巴马很快就为法国当局提供了美国支持，在此之前，发生了他称之为“试图恐吓无辜平民的骇人听闻事件”。

Speaking at the White House, Mr Obama hisadministration had offered its full support to France, though he had not yetspoken personally with President Francois Hollande.

“We stand prepared and ready to provide whateverassistance that the government and the people of France need,” he said, and pledgedto “bring these terrorists to justice and go after any terrorist networks”.

He added: “Those who think that they canterrorise the people of Franceor the values that they stand for are wrong.”

He was briefed on the attacks Friday by hiscounter-terrorism adviser Lisa Monaco.

“This is an attack not just on Paris. It’s an attack not just on the peopleof France,”he said. “But this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values weshare.”

Killing of innocents is abhorrent and while Muslims condemn all killing, the vast majority of westerners support the murder of Muslims and have done so for the last 20 years.
