BEIJING: Amid the Sikkim stand-off, the Chinese Army is carrying out exercises simulating real battle scenarios at high-altitude areas in Tibet, testing new equipment, including a light battle tank.

锡金对峙期间，中国军队在西藏高海拔地区进行模拟真实战斗场景，测试新装备，包括测试一款轻型坦克。

The exercises were being carried at an altitude of 5,100 metres, the Chinese language service of the state-run Xinhua news agency reported from the Tibetan capital Lhasa.

新华社发自拉萨的报道称，此次演习的地点位于5100米的海拔。

Besides testing the new equipment, the exercises involve conducting live firing exercises.

除了测试新装备外，还进行了实弹射击演练。

Indian army has fought actual wars ... every day - in Kashmir and elsewhere.
Except for one mistake in 1962 (by Nehru, not by army), Indian army has won every single war. And in that war too, Indian army killed the enemy in the ratio 10:1 in Rezang la. This is the figure given by the Chinese themselves.
India has fought and won 3 mini-wars against the Chinese too (after 1962).
So Chini bhai, stop this masquerade and accept that your cunning ploy of annexing a strategically important part of Bhutan has failed.

Kashmir is a Valley and our Army is fighting a small group of terrorists, yet we are unable to handle situation in so many decades. 1) There is something called battle-hardened. China has not fought a war since 1979 (Vietnam) in which Vietnam made China retreat.
2) Indian army is at a height - which gives a minimum 3:1 advantage to India.
3) China has to keep 50% of its army at other places.India can allocate 80% of its army to wards China. The ratio then becomes at par.
4) Nuclear weapons need no count. One is enough.
So this is not Chinese checkers (child's game).
